Poppyseed buns are authentic, but a plain or sesame bun is a fine substitute. Neon green relish is a uniquely Chicago thing; look for those like Vienna’s Chicago-style relish.
Makes 4 dogs
4 all-beef franks
4 poppyseed buns
Yellow mustard (Ballpark)
Neon green pickle relish (Vienna Chicago-style)
1 white onion
2 plum tomatoes
4 dill pickle spears
8 to 12 sport peppers
Sprinkle of celery salt
STEAM 4 all-beef franks and place in 4 poppyseed buns (warmed/steamed).
Dogs with a squiggle of yellow mustard + a spoonful of neon green pickle relish and sprinkle lightly with white onions (finely chopped).
NESTLE 2 plum tomato slices + dill pickle spear + several sport peppers around or on top of dog. Dust lightly with celery salt and serve.
